Seven orienteers came out and enjoyed a cool and overcast morning out at Lincoln Park on Saturday morning. Rains overnight kept temperatures down for what would turn out to be perfect temperatures for taking in the outdoors. New Tucson regular Isaac Pimienta speedily tackled the 17 controls to take first place. Visiting Quantico O Club orienteer Mike Wood breezed through the course as well, coming in a scant 90 seconds behind. Two orienteers had a brief encounter with a venomous denizen of the desert at Control 1, but their spirits remained unrattled as they continued along the course and shared smiles with everyone at the finish.

Many thanks to everyone for helping out with control retrieval, allowing us to finish up just as the heat began to set in!
