When scheduling this event we had no idea that it would be quite so hot in Tucson today and I think everyone appreciated the excuse to head up the mountain for some relief. Of course, the relief was offset by the elevation and the steepness—both rather impossible to avoid at Bear Wallow!

First time course setters Jim Holmes, Jane Larkindale, and Amelia Holmes set a challenging score course and Jeff Coker was the lone orienteer who managed to clear the course.
